USG - TRIPLETS EARLY TVS is a transvaginal ultrasound examination carried out during the early stages of a triplet pregnancy. This scan uses a specialized ultrasound probe inserted gently into the vagina to obtain clear and detailed images of the uterus and developing fetuses, especially during the first trimester.

The scan helps confirm the presence of three fetuses, detect fetal heart activity, estimate gestational age, and assess early fetal growth and development. It is particularly useful in early pregnancy when detailed visualization may not be possible through abdominal ultrasound.

This examination also helps determine chorionicity and amnionicity, which indicate whether the fetuses share placentas or amniotic sacs. Accurate identification of these factors is essential for managing triplet pregnancies and monitoring potential complications.

In addition, the scan evaluates the uterus, cervix, placenta, and surrounding pelvic structures to identify conditions such as threatened miscarriage, bleeding, ectopic pregnancy concerns, or other early pregnancy complications.
