USG - BREAST SINGLE (SONOMAMMOGRAM) is a non-invasive ultrasound scan performed to assess one breast and the surrounding soft tissues using high-frequency sound waves. The examination helps evaluate breast lumps, cysts, dense breast tissue, infections, abscesses, enlarged lymph nodes, and other focal breast abnormalities.

This scan is commonly recommended when symptoms or abnormalities are limited to a single breast, such as localized pain, swelling, nipple discharge, or a palpable lump. Ultrasound imaging helps distinguish between solid and fluid-filled lesions and may complement mammography or clinical breast examination for more detailed evaluation.

Breast ultrasound does not use radiation and is especially useful in younger women or individuals with dense breast tissue. It may also assist in guiding biopsy, aspiration, or other image-guided breast procedures when required.
