About this scan
CT - Extremities: A diagnostic imaging technique that uses X-ray technology to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the bones, joints, and soft tissues in the arms, legs, hands, and feet.

CT Extremities is an advanced imaging test that provides detailed cross-sectional images of the bones, joints, and surrounding structures of the upper and lower limbs, including arms, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.

This scan is highly effective in detecting fractures, complex injuries, joint abnormalities, bone tumors, infections, and degenerative conditions. It is particularly useful when X-rays are inconclusive or when detailed imaging is required for surgical planning.

CT imaging offers superior visualization of bony structures and can also help assess soft tissues when contrast is used. It is commonly used in trauma cases, sports injuries, and evaluation of chronic joint pain.

This test is recommended for individuals with:

  • Limb pain or swelling
  • Suspected fractures or injuries
  • Joint pain or limited movement
  • Sports-related injuries
  • Suspected bone tumors or infections
  • Degenerative joint conditions
  • Post-trauma evaluation
