About this scan
CT - Abdomen Triphasic (Included Contrast) is a diagnostic imaging procedure that utilizes contrast agents to examine the abdominal region in three different phases, providing detailed information about the organs and blood vessels.

CT Abdomen Triphasic is an advanced imaging study that involves scanning the abdomen in three different phases after contrast injection—arterial phase, portal venous phase, and delayed phase. This multi-phase approach allows detailed evaluation of abdominal organs, particularly the liver, by assessing blood flow patterns and lesion characteristics.

This test is highly valuable in detecting and characterizing liver tumors, metastases, hemangiomas, and other focal liver lesions. It also helps evaluate organs such as the pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and blood vessels.

Triphasic CT provides improved diagnostic accuracy compared to routine CT scans, especially for liver pathology, and is widely used in oncology, hepatology, and pre-surgical planning.

This test is recommended for individuals with:

  • Suspected liver tumors or lesions
  • Known liver disease requiring detailed evaluation
  • Unexplained abdominal pain
  • Suspected metastasis
  • Abnormal liver function tests
  • Follow-up of known abdominal tumors
  • Pre-surgical or oncological assessment
