About this scan
CT-enteroclysis is a diagnostic procedure that combines computed tomography (CT) imaging with the administration of contrast medium into the small intestine to evaluate abnormalities and diseases of the digestive system.

CT Enteroclysis is an advanced imaging procedure designed to provide detailed evaluation of the small intestine. It involves the infusion of contrast material directly into the small bowel through a tube, followed by CT imaging to obtain high-resolution images.

This technique allows better distension and visualization of the small intestine compared to standard CT scans, making it highly effective in diagnosing conditions such as Crohn’s disease, small bowel tumors, strictures, obstruction, and unexplained gastrointestinal symptoms.

CT Enteroclysis is particularly useful when other imaging methods are inconclusive. It provides clear visualization of bowel wall thickness, mucosal patterns, and surrounding structures, aiding in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

This test is recommended for individuals with:

  • Chronic abdominal pain
  • Suspected Crohn’s disease or inflammatory bowel disease
  • Unexplained diarrhea or weight loss
  • Suspected small bowel tumors
  • Intestinal obstruction symptoms
  • Inconclusive results from other imaging tests
Available Exclusively at these Prima Diagnostics Centres: Jayanagar, Whitefield, and Yelahanka
