About this scan
MRI-Thigh is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the thigh region, aiding in the diagnosis and evaluation of muscle, bone, and soft tissue abnormalities.

MRI – Thigh is an advanced imaging procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the thigh region, including muscles, bones (femur), tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, and surrounding soft tissues.

This scan is highly useful in diagnosing muscle injuries, tears, tumors, infections, inflammation, and trauma. It is commonly recommended for patients experiencing persistent thigh pain, swelling, or suspected soft tissue abnormalities. MRI provides excellent contrast between different tissue types, allowing for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

MRI – Thigh is also used to evaluate sports injuries, detect hematomas, and assess the extent of tumors or infections. The procedure is safe, painless, and does not involve radiation, making it suitable for repeated imaging if required.

This test is recommended for individuals:

  • Experiencing persistent thigh pain or discomfort
  • With swelling or lumps in the thigh
  • Suspected of muscle or soft tissue injuries
  • Having sports-related injuries
  • With infections or tumors in the thigh region
  • Requiring a detailed evaluation of thigh structures
