About this scan
MRI Renal Angio with Contrast is a non-invasive medical imaging technique that uses magnetic resonance imaging to visualize blood vessels in the kidneys, aided by the injection of a contrasting agent.
MRI Renal Angio with Contrast (MR Angiography of renal arteries)  is a non-invasive imaging test using magnetic fields and Gadolinium dye to produce high-resolution, 3D images of kidney blood vessels.

This test provides detailed images of the renal arteries and helps detect conditions such as renal artery stenosis (narrowing), blockages, aneurysms, and vascular malformations. It is particularly useful in evaluating causes of hypertension related to kidney blood flow.

MRI offers excellent soft tissue contrast without the use of ionizing radiation, making it a safe and effective method for diagnosing and monitoring vascular conditions affecting the kidneys.

This test is recommended for individuals with:

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • Suspected renal artery stenosis
  • Kidney-related disorders
  • Abnormal kidney function tests
  • Suspected vascular abnormalities
  • Refractory hypertension
  • Unexplained kidney issues
Available Exclusively at these Prima Diagnostics Centres: Jayanagar, Whitefield, and Yelahanka
