About this scan
MRI - LEG is a medical imaging technique that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to generate detailed images of the leg, aiding in the diagnosis of injuries, diseases, and conditions affecting the leg.

MRI – Leg is an advanced imaging procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the leg, including bones (tibia and fibula), muscles, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, and surrounding soft tissues. It provides excellent visualization of both bone and soft tissue structures, making it highly effective for accurate diagnosis.

This scan is commonly used to detect muscle injuries, ligament or tendon tears, fractures, infections, tumors, inflammation, and vascular abnormalities. It is especially useful in evaluating persistent leg pain, swelling, trauma, or sports-related injuries. MRI can also help identify conditions that may not be clearly visible on X-rays or CT scans.

The procedure is safe, painless, and does not involve radiation, making it suitable for repeated imaging if needed.

This test is recommended for individuals:

  • Experiencing persistent leg pain or discomfort
  • With swelling or lumps in the leg
  • Suspected of muscle or soft tissue injuries
  • Having sports-related injuries
  • With infections or tumors in the leg region
  • Requiring detailed evaluation of leg structures
