About this scan
MRI - FOREARM is a medical imaging technique that uses a powerful magnet and radio waves to create detailed pictures of the forearm, helping diagnose and evaluate conditions affecting the bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

MRI – Forearm is an advanced imaging procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the forearm, including the radius and ulna bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, blood vessels, and surrounding soft tissues. It provides excellent visualization of both bone and soft tissue structures, making it highly effective for accurate diagnosis.

This scan is commonly used to detect fractures, muscle injuries, tendon tears, ligament damage, infections, tumors, inflammation, and nerve-related conditions. It is especially useful in evaluating forearm pain, swelling, trauma, or sports-related injuries. MRI can also help identify abnormalities that may not be clearly visible on X-rays or CT scans.

The procedure is safe, painless, and does not involve radiation, making it suitable for repeated imaging if needed.

This test is recommended for individuals:

  • Experiencing persistent forearm pain or discomfort
  • With swelling or limited movement in the forearm
  • Suspected of fractures or soft tissue injuries
  • Having sports-related injuries
  • With infections or tumors in the forearm region
  • Requiring detailed evaluation of forearm structures
